Right now I am trying to stay at five (see my signature). Thanks @bikemig for the album idea http://www.bikeforums.net/album.php?albumid=412. Seven years here and I did not know that existed.
I am thinking about 2 changes for this winter. The Mongoose will probably go for a Soma Double Cross Disc, just to say I tried disc brakes. The other is something more classic to replace the Bridgestone. |

I really like that Wes Mason frame -- looks like a Bob Jackson.
Aaron decided to pass the Wes Mason my way, for which I am very grateful. |
having been into vintage bikes for about a year and a half, I acquired a decent number of bikes.
late '90s Tommasini Sintesi '85 Trek 720 '81 Peugeot PKN-10 '74 Raleigh International early 70s Bottecchia Giro d'Italia single speed (due to busted derailleur hanger). '09 Cannondale Caad9 I commute on all of them every day, rotating the bikes daily. |

I was trying to slow down the stream of bike porn that I knew was going to hit this thread. Looks like I got one convert, :thumb:. Very cool bikes btw in your (new) album.
I like seeing the pictures too, but with some of these collections (cough, cough balindamood) pictures would stretch this thread to 100 pages quickly. :) |
This thread needs some ugly, I'll see if I can remember to post some pics later.

My signature says it all, most of my pics are close to current.
I do change Garmin mounts and some other stuff from time to time. I have an album here on BF and here's the link to Pedal Room: RobbieTunes - Pedal Room |
OK,so you made me count....
Total is 37 bikes in some form between the two of us. 22 are ready to ride. 13 I would consider selling or are for sale. 5 of the for sale ones are specifically flippers-trouble is I won't let them go until completely serviced and dialed in, so I rarely turn a profit on the materials alone. I don't care, I like bikes and working on bikes. The notables are in my signature. I also have some current stuff-I like my full suspension mountain bike. Most ridden currently, C&V, are the '91 Ed Litton (me), '95 Santana Visa (us), '85 Centurion Le Mans (her). Something else will undoubtedly move to the top this winter. |
I've got a green one, a black one, a blueish purple one, a big yellow one (it's a hoot), another blue one, a celeste one, another blueish purple one, a light blue one, another black one, another green one, a weird red one, and some that dont have any wheels. I'm happy to give you those colors as well? one of them is orange. No wait, two of them are orange.

I have at least one from every decade from the 1930s to the 2010s.

1979 ALAN Super Record, disassembled, awaiting fate
1980-ish ALAN Competition, fixed gear 1991 Giant Coldrock, SS city scorcher 1993 SoMec Elite SX, awaiting bars and cables 1996-ish Batavus Nitro MTB at the Datcha 1997 Slingerland CX, bent frame awaiting alignment 2005 Principia Elite SX (coincidentally), main road bike |

It has that look, I'm a sucker for English frames like that. And of course, the JRJ *IS* a Bob Jackson, too!

I've been meaning to make a web page of all my bikes to save the trouble of posting all the pictures and info here from time to time. One of these days!
In the meantime, my frequent riders are: - 1982 McLean racing bike - 1995 Bianchi Volpe - 1975 Viscount Aerospace Pro with S3X hub Still not finished: - Burley tandem, year unknown - 1974 Raleigh International bare frame in the midst of painting Perpetual project bike, not road-ready now: - 1973 Raleigh Twenty Out on long-term loan: - 1971 Raleigh Super Course with straight handlebars Staying with my mother-in-law in Florida: - 1962 Rudge Sports 3-speed - 1967 AMF Hercules (Raleigh-built) 3-speed |
Well, RobE30, thanks for the impetus. I wrote the blog post, but I haven't published it yet. Next step is to make a post for each bike, with pictures. The post I just wrote will have links to each bike page. So at least I've started. Oh, another project begun but not finished. Maybe this isn't a good thing.

78 Schwinn World
84 Schwinn Traveler, with dynamo hub 84 Schwinn Letour Luxe, with S and S couplers 87 Schwinn Prelude 92 Schwinn Paramount PDG 5 91 Giant Yukon I'm happy with this group, and don't yearn for any more (he tells himself) |
1985-ish Ciocc Designer '84
1987 Battaglin Cromor 1999 Steelman Stage Race 2008 Kilo TT |
1982 Univega Nuovo Sport-knobby tired, soon to be limestone trail bike. Arc bars borrowed from an early '90's XO-3. Suntour thumbies and DR's.
1984 Centurion Elite GT. Commuter bike, some touring next year. Fender's, rack, panniers, handle bar bag (complete with the supposed handlebar cutting bracket). Bar ends, rando bars, etc........ 1985 Torpado Super Strada. A little ugly paint wise, 9speed Campy Chorus. Rollin' on Mavic Reflex wheels with Campy hubs. 3TTT bars and stem. 1987 Centurion Lemans RS. Modernized, crappy 2300 crank, ok Sora 9speed brifters and DR's. Wiennman XP rims-no name hubs. Durable, rides well. My smallest frame, my favorite to ride. I don't know why, but it just works. Always looking to ad, namely something Centurion; Ironman or Semi-Pro preferably. |
My signature also has the current line up - all are riders and have different purposes.

See signature.

well most have see these but as I haven't been too n+1 recently here you go
84 Torpado Super strada. Ratty finish, decals gone/faded, ofmega crankset, campy hubs and shifters, universal brakes, still has original ambrosia rims, lots of panto graphing..... and just totally fun to ride. fairweather commuter/light errand utility http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w...psecz5ljy1.jpg 89 Miyata 1400 updated to ultegra 9 spd sti....my go to road bike...put on the kit and the shoes http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w...d/IMAG0112.jpg 83 nishiki....I bought this new commuted, rode on weekends, did some short (and for me slow) triathlons. Then turned it from a classic bike boom bike to a comfy errand runner, cruise around , short commute and utility bike I learned and relearned a lot from that conversion as the frame, fork, seatpost are the only remaining original pieces http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w...d/IMG_0248.jpg |
