Home pulse counter.

Do any of you use some kind of heart rate monitor at home to check your resting pulse rate? If so what brand/model? Had an old wrist watch style with a clip on sensor but it has crapped out.

If you are resting, why can't you use your finger and a clock?

+1 on hand and watch method. It's more accurate anyhow.

Gee, thanks.

That kinda works but you can't...sneak up on it that way.

There's an iphone phone app that monitors your face with the camera. It senses changes in color due to capillary blood flow and thus reads pulse.

I use my HRM with chest strap. We do have a home pressure monitor that also records pulse. It's an arm cuff one, but no good to me. My resting rate is about 38-40 and the monitor alarms at that as it thinks the sensor is detached :)

im sure you can get a phone app with a sensor [ maybe a wrist type sensor]
