No, I haven't been able to find out anything more about the frame.
I stripped the paint off, but no major identifiers underneath. Decent brazing which is mostly clean, only being messy around the BB shell.
Fork was primed, and I didn't take any pics of it as a bare fork.
Anyway, since it's still unknown, I'll be painting it. Any ideas on a scheme?

EDIT: Nevermind, saw your comment saying you didnt take any pics.

Resuscitating this thread with an aim to increase our collective knowledge of bikes and things.
"JP" on the the seat stay cap stands for Jose Perez who apparently built for Hispano France (although I have not verified this), so Argentinean after all.
Here is an example (still listed here):

Thanks for the thread revival. It’s good to see another frame with the same JP marking on the seat stay cap. I wonder if there’s any other similarities too. The pics aren’t close enough to tell.

Apart from the seat stay cap stamp, it doesn't look like this frame shares a whole lot with yours. I'd also be interested to some detailed pics, especially to see if there are Pinarello style cutouts. I'd guess yours is earlier than this one (claimed to be from 1991).
Now that I know what JP stands for I'll keep an eye out for these frames.

I do like the feeling of running across a picture of a match and going "Bingo!"
