Recently found a bike in grandma barn and can't figure out what it is

Cheers and welcome to Bike Forums.

I'm moving this to our Classic & Vintage forum, they know all about grandma barns and bikes found there. Be prepared to post more pics.

blondtempest16 welcome to the C&V forum...

Suggested pics (and others may have more!)...

(1) Drive side full frame
(2) close ups of components and significant features
(3) Any decals

This will give everyone a good start...from the picture you posted...this will be interesting!

I think that's a Rollfast badge.

Don't do anything to it! It has just the right amount of dust on the tank.

blondtempest16 11-04-14 10:32 AM

the bike is currently in central minnesota usa. Grandma at one time lived in california.

The bike is currently hung by about 3 ropes from the rafters. We had made the comment that it kinda looks like the bike that is used on the advertising for "Fat Tire" wines. The bike is Red. I can tell that even with a million layers of dust on it. I thought we had taken more pictures of the bike but I was using my sons smart phone and I guess it is smarter than I am.

I had not realized they used a ball bearing cross section on their badges -- pretty slick.
