Bike restoration

Seeking info on restoring old road bike. It's 1981 or 82 Austro Daimler, very nice ride, needs repaint. Anyone know about resources around Sacramento area for this? Thanks

check out http://www.vintagecyclestudios.com/index.html in
El Cajon. They are not cheap, but Brian Baylis and his partner
are some of the best in the country.
Also check Cyclart ( www.cyclart.com ) Jim Cunningham
does some nice work also.

Ed Litton is closer to you.

They both do good work, as do Joe Bell and Jim Allen, both also in the SD area. I'd go with JB first, cause I like him. I've never used Jim Allen, but heard nothing but good about him. Mixed feelings about BB & JC though...

Just curious... What model of Austro-Daimler?

What about Steve Rex? He builds bikes in Sacramento (R street?), I assume he paints them too. If not, It seems like he would be in the know in the area. Look in the yellow pages.
