Which cycling shoes are you wearing ?

Just wondering what shoes you're wearing in your vintage toe-clips ? Post a picture if you can.
I generally just wear Adidas Stan Smiths.

Cheers, Tom

I rock saucony sneakers. Low profile toe fits clilps and straps nicely.

Found a few pairs of vintage Detto cycling shoes online. Definitely not for this season, but I much ride my MTB or modern roady in fall conditions.

Splurged for a pair of these on sale: Quoc Pham | Cycling Shoes - FIXED - Tan

Took a little while to break them in, but now they're pretty comfortable.

Puma Touring shoes.

Even Earl the Pearl and Clyde knew what was cool for bikes.

Sold off my SiDi kangaroo shoes perfect fit but I never rode anywhere wearing them.. to Unwalkable off the BIKE..

SiDi Touring shoes I got from RivBike a decade ago , but now I wear LL Bean Rubber Mocs the most.

Have a unused New Pair of Carnac Carlits I bought before they went off the Market...

The Touring shoes I actually use on tour were so modified mentioning them again is pointless unless you intend to do the same
I had a willing shoe repair guy that let me work with him on a ad hoc design project behind the counter instead of drop it off and come back the following Week .

By now I appreciate stiff But penny loafer like loose comfortable shoes. strap and toe clip with a padded strap ..

Things I did.. got done, More than things I just Bought.

I have a pair of these:

Cycle Shoes

Took some time to get them (they seem to make them from scratch after you place the order), but I'm happy with what they sent me.

Still loving my DVS/Cinelli "Luster." Not exactly classic cycle styling -- more like skate or urban casual -- but they've kept my feet happy for a while now.

Got a pair of old Duegis that I had to glue the soles back onto when they came off the shoe. Liquid Nails works great. Also some cheapo Lake shoes.

Since we are on the subject of footwear. What's everyone's input on the Giro Empire? Vintage looking? I ask about these because I favor SPD-SL pedals. When I'm running a bike with flat pedals I run whatever footwear goes with the outfit.

Use two different pairs of SPD-SL, oldest are Adidas, no name in the tags, just a model number, and newer are Specialized Road Comps. Both are comfortable, I like a plain back shoe, no flash or bling, please. Sadly Adidas doesn't make cycling shoes right now, heard some rumors that they were to return. I loved my old Detto Pietro shoes BITD.

For clips & straps, I was lucky to find these Avocet 30s at a reasonable BIN price before anyone else snatched them up:

Those look nice but the link does not show the bottom of the shoe. Is the sole flat, or does it have any ridges to catch the pedal cage? That's one feature I really like about the Avocet shoes shown above.

Flat sole, and a bit slippery, too.

nothing vintage, because apparently no one back then had a size 14 foot.

I have those same shoes. Bought them years ago when a local shop was going out of business. I drilled them for Look cleats and love them this time of year.
