Parts are trickling in for my Della Santa.

White Industries hubs, DT spokes and Velocity A23 rims.

I'm building them 32h with Compass Chinook Pass 700x28s.

I also scored a Veloce medium cage 10 speed rear derailleur on our local CL of all places.

The DS is eventually going to stay at my BIL's house in Bayern and I'm going to be hill climbing most of the time, so I am going to treat my knees to sympathetic gearing.

The rest of the groupset is all Campy Chorus 10 speed, which remains my favorite value groupset from Campy.

Trying to get this one finished, so I can take it along to Austin when I visit family in February. I would love to put it through its paces in the Hill Country near my parents' place.

I'm building a cyclocross/gravel pounder.
It's grey.
1x10
That's all I know right now.

So far, I've picked out my chain ring.

Your going to love it.

Great choice!

Do you have lots of gravel/country roads down there?

I spent last winter getting all the parts together for the Zeus Gran Sport. Still need to do a color match, strip and paint. Then see if I can get my daughter to do custom lettering and detailing.
The Peugeot, Ironman and the Miyata are done........

Will be purging more stuff at the Milwaukee Swap tomorrow and hopefully not bringing any new projects home.

I know this is not the thread for this image, but I know iab and others will enjoy it. Probably one of the best pics of the two, other than the water offering.

Just to let you Della Santa guys know, there are some cool wool Della Santa jerseys on ebay at this moment. Just search " woolistic" and you'll see them.

Maybe "Santa" could take care of this for me.

That was a good find. I bought it from the classified section of pinkbike.com. The seller had a black regal and two of the white rolls. Got the regal and white rolls for a song. I chose the one white rolls for the ti rails. Was surprised to learn that regal has ti rails when the saddles arrived in the mail.

The renovation: it's a 1x10 system!

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...1&l=2976d81465

I couldn't resist the urge to renovate my old dying Specialized Allez Pro, because a friend of mine visiting from California gave me his old bike. The frame was too big for me, so before I sold that on ebay I salvaged its 10-sp SRAM Rival rear derailleur, right shifter and BB. Bought a left SRAM brake lever; Apex brakes from ebay; the CX-1 single chainring cyclo-cross crank from the Utah boys; cheapest cassette and chain available from Nashbar.

It certainly was fun, and updated my outdated 20 year old understanding of bike mechanics... Well, the main things that seem to have changed appear to be the headset (mostly integrated) and BB (though Eng thread is still prevalent enough); however, it was not without some trials and tribulations. The photos will tell more.

I just swapped parts over from a mid '80s Schwinn LeTour Lux I picked up for $50 ar a garage sale years ago and refurbished as a geared winter bike to the Raleigh Carlton International frame I picked up last week. ($80) This frame is 531 and a full three pounds lighter! Set it up as a true winter bike. It can handle 37c tires with full fenders (easily, 50c tires would fit!)

You can read about it at https://www.bikeforums.net/winter-cyc...e-my-luck.html.

Winter project? Re-purposing the Miyata 912 that spent the last year or two in my girlfriend's parents' rafters in Québec...

This one's done, though! 9sp friction (smooth!), mix-and-match Japanese parts bin build. Nice Hope/Mavic wheels.

Maybe I'll fit some fenders...

Other than that, my winter project (soon to be a New Year's resolution!): *no new projects*

I'm broke, and winters here on the the West Coast allow plenty of decent riding waether. Goal: legs to do justice to the nice bikes.

That said, it's been less than 24 hours since my last correspondence with a local seller regarding a frameset that had caught my eye.

I think I was pretty close to taking on a 753 Waterford 1250 project there...

I need to sell some frames/parts, for sure.

Paceline first, then eBay. Most of the really good old stuff is gone, but I do have a few rarish vintage items still around, like a small Cinelli VIP bar/stem combo, and the fluted two bolt Campy seatpost. A few derailleurs, too, both NR and SR, and some cheap, but high end, tubular wheelsets.
