1981 (approx.) Peugeot Blue Touch Up Paint?

I'm wondering how to get touch-up paint to match the pictured Peugeot "Pearl Blue (AK)".

I'm not planning on thorough restoration, just cleaning and protecting the little rust spots and scratches. There are boatloads of Peugeot car historical paint sites, but my google-fu ain't helping for bike colors. Considering that blue pigments are often more photostable than others, I'm guessing that fading will not be much of a issue; though verification or rejection of that premise would rock.

Also, my anticipated technique would involve using a small brass brush, naval jelly with "Q-tips", and artist brush or liner-tip airbrush application of primer and paint. Having never done a classic bike, even just for protection and aesthetics, does that sound reasonable?

Try the hobby shop. You may have to experiment and custome mix something. When I was working in a shop even new out of the box touchup paint was usually worthless.

Try the nail polish section of the cosmetics counter. Also, automotive supply stores and dealerships have small vials of paint and spray cans which have the colour on their tops to aid matching.

Find a car that matches the color, look up the paint code online and order a 1/2 or 2 oz. bottle.

Find Paint Code | Touch Up Paint | AutomotiveTouchup

I found the code for a yellow (Mayfair Maize) '65 GTO. I just wish I still had the car.

Nail polish is a lot more durable than many think. I found a touchup match with my winter bike and it's been on there almost 2 years... which is more than I can say for some of the components... Also if you are dissatisfied with your touchup, you can just buy some nail polish remover and start over.

Bummer. Ah, well the point is primarily protecting the steel, not restoring a museum piece. Thanks.

Hi!
I have just started my first restoration project, and also only plan on doing the basics to get it working smoothly and looking good again. It is this exact bike and I was wondering if you got anywhere with finding a paint match?
Thanks
