Who used Vitus 979 frames in theirmodel lineup?

My new to me Vitus 979 frameset seems to have a missing head badge as it looks like something was riveted on it. I haven't seen a Vitus 979 photo with a head badge. I know Cilo and Peugeot sold some these. Were there any other manufacturers that sold these frames and who may have used a head badge?

Bertin did, but their head badge by that time was an aluminum piece that was bonded on.

I think everyone used either the Vitus or Alan at one time. Which was the Basso?

I recall the Cilo frames, but they had a decal for a head badge. Gitane also had their branded version of the Vitus 979, but it too sported a decal for a head badge.

Maybe Motobecane Prolight?

Jan Janssen did. And at some point the headbadges were riveted, like on this one.

Who remembers the Bicycling review of the Prolight in the early 80's?

Thanks for the link. That's a new one to me. We don't get many Jan Janssen bikes this side of the pond (not sure I've ever seen one). Anyway, that head badge in your link is interesting. I can see the rivets. However, it looks to be the same as this decal version o the same: LINK: Jan Janssen Vitus For Sale.

Peugeout had a 979 in their lineup in the mid to later 80's. Plus they collaborated with Vitus to create the PY10FC team CF bike, which contrary popular belief was not, just a re-badged Vitus plus 3 Carbone, but a different design with different CF frame tube specs......

Interesting badge on the Jan Jansen. I'll snap a photo of the head tube tomorrow. It's only got one rivet instead of two. The Peugeot frames I've seen look to have adhesive head badges. If it's any help the frame is a Mk I and appears to be from 1983.

99% of 979s did not have headbadges.
Graphics were also sparse on most of them....
