Welcome to the forum. Really great to have you here. I am a custom wheel builder, and I expect I will be contacting you some time early in the new year.

Hi Italuminium, What is, or was, Cloud 9? I'm not too far from London and would love to see Curtis's work in person.

Fantastic work Curtis, also appreciate your posts on CR - I'm the silent guy in the corner of 'Dale's garage', hanging on every word and learning from experts, with nothing of value so far to contribute - but that day might come.

A great bike boutique in Bloomsbury (W1), on store street, near the British museum. They have a great selection of high end frames and parts, and will commence building their own frames in the back as of this month.

Brilliant, Thanks. I'll be sure to pop in next time I'm in London. Sounds exciting, so many bike shops are now just branches of National chains. :-)

I just received my first order of Curtis Odom track hubs. The photos scarcely do them justice. These are absolutely gorgeous.

New axle design for the old style threaded road hubs. This is much stronger than what we used back in the old days. This axle is based on a cassette hub axle. No threads past where they are needed for the lock nut. 12mm of steel where needed instead of 10mm with threads. Shown in long 130mm 8 speed version. 120mm will only have the primary spacer and few threads.

Wow, much stronger indeed. Off topic, but what software do you design with / created the above?

An excellent improvement over the classic design. Wonderful image, Curtis.

Thank you.

Wonderful. Will they be available in both 126 and 130? Also, can the mag bearings be fitted to this hub?

Oh, and if you appreciate precision machining like I do, you will love the way the lock rings thread on so buttery smooth. Haven't tried a track cog yet, but I'm sure it will be the same as long as the cog thread has close to the same precision as the hub thread.

Dan, yes they will be available in 120mm, 126mm, and 130mm. Threaded road hubs are a super low volume seller and usually are a custom order.
No they will not be available in the Magneto bearing. The Mag bearing for this model hub only comes in a 10mm ID, best suited for a solid axle.
I will have my new oversize Mag bearings in a new model of hub but I have not given much consideration to making them in a threaded road version.

Got the first set built. Velocity Aero rims.

The spoke holes are really snuggly, not all loose and sloppy like most modern hubs are.

Knockouts.

Just wow.

I have a bike arriving in August that a set of these would look great on.

We'll have to see what the cash flow looks like at that time.
