Found this in a used book

Picked up some used books yesterday and found this folded in one of them.

Lasted longer than the item itself.

Nice find...always kind of cool to come across something that you totally do not expect...

Cool find. That has been misplaced for decades and now found by someone who could truly appreciate it. Amazing.

cool. I'm assuming the used book was bicycle related?

I have the same paperwork from the front derailleur! If we put them together, they might be worth...well, never mind.

It would be really amazing if a C&V member found that in a non-bicycle related book.

Sloar has been finding some pretty cool stuff lately. I got 3 old 70's catalogs from him a month ago that are really cool. Price list in one of them only, which is really like stepping back in time. Neat stuff.
Thanks again, Sloar.

A 1973 Oui! magazine.

I recently purchased a used copy it the wheel building book by Jobst Brandt, and inside there was a bookmark with writing on it. It was from a grandfather with loving words to his grandson, of encouragement. Essentially to keep going and not give up. There was more too. I imagine that those words were comforting to the receiver, as well they were to me. I'm keeping that bookmark. (Of course they could have just been words of encouragement to a frustrated apprentice wheel builder).

Thats an interesting find. I would definitely keep that - maybe frame it, and if you have or could find one of those Derailleurs you could mount the two in a curio box for display in your bike cave.

That is a great find! Sometimes it is the little things like that that are the fun of it all.

It actually was in a non-cycling book. other than the folds and a little yellow tint, it looks new. Rootboy I'm glad you like those books.
