@jjhabbs, beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

I feel your lack of riding pain!

Even though I spent two hours in the shop organizing spare parts and general tiding up last night, which is satisfying, a good bike ride is so much more!

It's good for us that it was snowing and you had nothing else to do. A simply stunning bicycle. Thanks.

I miss the whirring of spokes, cresting that hill and pouring on the coals knowing a PR is being made.

A beautiful bicycle... and a solid reminder as to why I love down tube shifters. So clean and uncluttered.

I don't know what it is about Mercians that makes me want one, since I have never ridden or even seen one in person, but this picture set only reinforces it.

Very nice, perhaps time to experiment with lightening and backgrounds. Getting better at taking photos it a goal this year and I will make one resolution right now, since it is about -38 C here right now... BTW, that is about -37 in F. I only wish it was 5 degree so I could ride my bike and the dogs could play outside.

Anyway, the resolution is to take better photos of Corky in 2015 and share them on bike forums. I may also decide to ride it, but not in it's current garb to the photos would be for prosperity before I chip the paint taking them off and riding it as a brakeless fixed gear. Older forum member will know about Corky.

Wow. thanks for all the Mercian affirming comments. I haven't even ridden this bicycle yet. The frame has zero miles on it. I hate to be the one to defile this bicycle by putting it on the road but it would be a shame to keep it as a wall hanger.

That is indeed a beautiful bike. I hope to see you out on it one day in Chicagoland.

I hear you with the missing riding comments. I wonder if you take any of your not-quite-as-nice bikes out on a day like today. I like riding so much that I almost never skip a day. Of course, I've got a couple bikes that are middle to bottom end specimens. I was out riding this morning on a Trek TX300 and had the bike lanes all to myself. Felt good to get the pedals spinning, though.
