Try swapping the left and right mounts and flipping them over so they point upwards. Then you should be able to put the P clamps above the brake.

and also position the P clamp so the mount is on the outside of the seatstays. Looks like plenty of room to me.

that did it. but I ended up stripping one of the bolts going through the P-clamp... plus the P clamps I have are crappy. I need something with more cushion. Right now it's a tiny bit loose on one side.

How about pix of the bike as it sits now?

You've done a really great job with that bike!

As a second layer of "cushion" on the P clamp, I use shrink tubing, shrunk after installation. Works great.

Did your light come with a smaller clamp?

The Planet Bike lights come with 2 clamps, and I couldn't figure out what you'd use that little one for...

On you seat stay- you can mount the light so it's visible behind your panniers.

I'm glad I didn't toss mine.

BTW- I think I've mentioned it before, but that stem is really cool.

my light doesn't have a clamp that will fit on the seat stay.
Any suggestions on a bolt on light that will bolt right to the rack?
