Oops. Too late.
I wouldn't touch that thing with a ten foot pole. Nor eleven. You guys are gluttons for punishment.
Just kidding. Mostly. Not my thing but, it's a cool old machine.

Sort of comical, but Shawn..... these bikes are tops for the jokesters. Show up with it and as an unknown rider to a group ride. Play the roll.... laugh at their reactions.... then go get your racer. LOL
Seriously though, these 3 peed's get more comments and fun talk amongst the majority of modern. Lazy fun and if you have the room for it.

I mean I would buy it. It looks fantastic and would be a hoot to just putz around on after it gets cleaned up.

That chainring thing is creepy.

Ended up getting the bike for less than asking price. I did a quick wax and wipe on the downtube. Paint is in awesome condition. Not sure about the dyno hub light, haven't had time to check yet.

I'll get some before pics up tonite. I'm almost finished with my Merckx "winter project". So I'll start in on this soon. I get a headache every time I think about disassembling this thing.

There are certain types of garage schmutz that are actually good for paint.

Enough bikes?? Hmmph next people will start saying why do you need 4 of the exact same derailleur??
These non OCD folks are a weird bunch!?
I had a Humber with this fork when all my mates had 24" BMX's, it did good jumps!? Ahhh the shame!!
My grandfather commuted on it for most of his working life . . . I really wish I still had that bike, the fork really did take a lot of jarring out of the ride.
I did paper rounds on this bike and commuted to my first job, I had it stripped right down, my grandfather helped me buff up the paint. I rode it everywhere until a mates mum gave me her 10 speed Mixte . . . another bike I wish I still had.
