Does 1993 count as C&V? If so a lot of cleaning, polishing and all the rest of the good stuff to my recently acquired Tommasini Competizione. If we are not counting 1993 as C&V, I'm doing nothing today.

I think anything over 20 years old is vintage, and any Italian steel bike is a classic!

Rode my '89 Bottecchia SPX Chorus Equipe 58.4 miles through the mountains and redwoods today.
Average speed 14.2....I suck.

Bike 1, picked up at 5:30 am at my local cinderblock cafe-o-rama.
She said, "It's not shifting right." Reality: She didn't know how to use brifters. Been there.
Bike 2, Specialized Roubaix, all carbon. FD hit the crank arm on the big ring.
Channeled Sheldon Brown: if the FD is too wide, narrow it. Channel Lock applied, 3/4 turn on the outward adjuster, done.
Bike 3, D'Arienzo SLX. Quick spin, chain won't reverse smoothly.
Lubed the chain (already clean, only 15 miles on this build).
Lubed the calipers, FD, RD.
Tightened/checked all cable bolts, caliper bolts, adjusted calipers.
Checked tires, added teeny headlight to comply with Blue Ridge Parkway police....
Added frame pump, removed CO2 items, added Gu and Hydro tablets.
Already clean, test ride found it smoothly functioning.
100 miles, 8800' of climbing in 32 hours or so.

The only C&V bike thing I did today was ride the Masi to/from work. Also survived two stupid moves by drivers along the way.

Some shots of your build! I need to fine tune a few things to complete, but it's pretty much there. Come pick it up once you're back in town, so I'm not tempted to ride off on it.

Roland will love it!
So do I.

Good luck at the Hundo tomorrow.

Took apart and cleaned the front hub on a 70s Raleigh Sports. Rear tomorrow and new bearings and grease all around.

Going for a ride on the Miyata if it stops raining. Otherwise, cleaning up the Performance Parabola that I got yesterday. It has the usual nicks and scrapes for a 20+ year old bike, but it doesn't have a lot of miles and the bar-end shifters clicked into each gear without hesitation. Some new grease in the bearings, a set of tires, and bar tape and I'll be ready to hit the road. I might put some fenders on, as well, if the ones I have will fit. I already got rid of the seat. The gel saddle cover was like sitting on a water balloon.

Thinking about brakes when I saw these signs laying around at an equestrian event I was escorting the missus to.

Not riding enough
Going for a short off road ride on the Canal du Midi on the NotGit. Also waiting for a reply on a bike ad. Its a long way, but may be worth it. It's white, chrome in places, looks all original and has black lugs... watch this space!

Not riding enough
Ad has been taken down already so missed that one (looked like a 1970s PX10) and the bike ride is cancelled.

Facilitating a very nice NOS frame for a friend. He posts here too, so I won't steal his thunder by spilling the deats. I'm sure it'll get due coverage when we build it up.

Picked up an early 80's "Mountain Goat Cycles, Escape Goat" for 25 bucks at the flea market. I saw the bullmoose bars, oakley type 3 grips, and concor seat from afar and thought it was a Ritchey, well it's not but it is still pretty rad. Turns out the frames were made up the road in Chico, CA. I'm a sucker for local made stuff.

Picked up an Andy Gilmour MTB for drop-bar glory, so I'm peeling off stickers and assessing the horror. Upside: Dura Ace headset, Shimano 600 hubs. Downside: Most everything else. This one's gonna take a while.

I played around with my SPD shoes today, which necessitated adjusting the saddles on my Bianchi Eros and Sport SX to match.

Tore down a rear wheel. Sunshine high-flange hub, laced with DT spokes to a Super Champion Arc-en-Ciel rim. The rim will get a good polish and then find a new orbit (along with a Super Champion Record du Monde rim for the front wheel) around a set of Hi-E hubs pulled by Robergel Trois Etoiles spokes--part of a weight weenie mission for my Speedwell.

working on my coworkers 74 Schwinn Sprint, he's had it since highschool, and loves it dearly. I've torn it down and relubed everything, now in the process of cleaning/rust removal and rebuilding.

Inadvertedly pressing a button on my phone camera while putting it back into my pocket and ending up with this picture:
