Laced a Campagnolo Omega Strada XL hardox rim to a Dura Ace 7400 front hub. I now have a matched wheelset.

Took a box of XTR front and rear derailleurs, shifters, a 9 speed cassette, avid disk brake calipers, levers, and rotors to the LBS and gave them to one of the mechanics that removed the cranks and BB from my mtb frame. I gave him the cranks and BB also. When I get the replacement headset, I'll take the frame there and ask him to remove the old cups and press in the new ones.

The C&V part is the 9 speed cassette.

You should try and learn how to do this sort of thing yourself. If you have the Time, it's a good way to excercise the grey matter.

Sorry I wasn't clear. I'm replacing the 3x9 with a new 1x11 drivetrain and I gave all of the old parts to the mechanic at the bike shop. He asked what I was going to do with them when he removed the old cranks and BB. He's going to use them on a bike for his daughter. I don't have to deal with advertising them and shipping them, and they will be used and (hopefully) enjoyed.

A win for everyone involved.

I attempted to get the 5700 105 gear dialed in on my 770. Ending up walking away. Going to try some cable liner under the BB shell to see if that cures the issue. And lube the rear shifter.

Been sick with the flu for almost two weeks.

Careful everyone, this bug means business.

Finally coming around, so i dragged some stuff to the bike swap today.

A friend had a table, so I tossed some goodies on it. All sold.

Sold a bike out of the bike corral as well.

The pile continues to dwindle......

Twas pouring rain and 40degF this morning, expected to be a total washout day. So I puttered. Yesterday I got a second rear wheel for my C'dale CAAD3 which I use on my rollers. I wanted a second wheel so I could mount an old tire on it and swap that in vs changing the tires back and forth on the C'dale's wheel. Got that done.

And I continued to re-assemble my winter project: 1979 Raleigh SuperCourse12. I borrowed this bike for the winter and have done a total frame up restoration. IOW if it can be taken apart I did to clean, lube and adjust and true and fix every little thing that should be - overlook nothing. That’s how I do my own bikes. I like these sort of projects but, frankly, I have enough bicycles so ‘borrowing’ means when its done I can give it back. In fact it will be for sale in April. I’ll post it here. April, because part of the deal is that I get to do a 100 miles of test ride so I get a feel for why there is so much love on this Forum for the SuperCourse. I’m looking forward to it. Beautiful bike, 531 Carlton build and in great shape. We’ve put 700x23s on the light Weinnmann concave rims so it should be a zippy fun ride.

Finally I climbed on the rollers for my cardio. I’m still pretty new to rollers but really see the benefits. I run my Cannondale with the 105 integrated shifters as I cannot take a hand off the bars to shift DT sticks - a sure crash scenario. But today I finally got one hand of the bars, was able to unzip my sweatshirt - about 5 seconds off the bar then back on. Huge step forward for this old man.

Successfully fixed a rough going freewheel (ball ring) on a Sturmey Archer AW hub. Was the first time i took one apart by myself. Very elegant piece of machinery.

I heard from Duane (chestercycles.com) that the Lemond Zurich frame he's touching up for me will be ready in a week or so. I'm looking forward to seeing it and building this up with 3x10 Chorus. Tubulars on Mavic rims with Chorus hubs - built the wheels myself, and glued the tubulars. Brooks saddle, original stem and bars.

I think I have everything I need to finish the build, but I've said that before too.

It's 32° give or take outside, and I'm commuting on my revamped '74 Paramount and loving it. It's flippin' cold but I enjoy the ride so much, I hardly notice it. It also helps that I'm strategically layered up, but still. Good bikes help many things.

I moved to a new apartment unit down the hall. Well, mostly moved. This meant moving the herd, which means I really need to get rid of a lot things even thought it was stated that the new place is slightly larger than the old. Layout layout layout!

@Prowler, your Super Course is newer than the one that gets heaps of praise here. Yours has a racier geometry. It is just as lovable but different.

Finished up the last of my winter maintenance projects. Headset/bottom bracket/hub overhaul on a vintage Allez. The VAR fixed cup tool shown in the photo is the coolest....I think....bike specific tool that I own. So, I'm done with winter bike projects, but there is still snow on the ground. Damn!

Thanks. That's what I thought. I plan to enjoy it anyway. I do not expect it to upstage any bike I already have, will not keep me awake at night. I HAVE been lucky in finding what I have.

Visited the nearest LBS for the first time after the move in November. Not much C&V stuff around here, evidently. He did have what looks like a set of Record hubs for a 9 speed. Pricing tomorrow. Not sure if I will jump or not.

Got this seat a while ago off CL, It was starting to splay, and get too saggy. Looked like someone had already messed with the tension nut previously, so i didnt want to further mess with it. I think I might add 2 more holes toward the rear perhaps, also play with the laces some more too.

It is 60 degrees and sunny in MI on the last day of February.

Taking a load of handlebars, other takeoffs, and a complete Raleigh Horizon to the coop.
Aired up tires on about 6 bikes.
Took some photos of some bikes I need to sell.
Took the kickstand and front reflector off my Trek 850.
