Anyone recognize this Crank set?

This set resides on a Mercier bike I see locally for sale. I thought it might be an Ofmega But the Ofmega I found is a 4 bolt this one has 5. Any ideas? Sorry about the pic it's all I have at present.

the dustcap of the set on the bicycle looks asian. it may be that it is an ofmega mistral with a non-original dustcap. another possibility is that it could be one of the sakae ringyo sets. they produced this twist spider design also.

Thanks I missed that one. Single chain ring though.

What about the Bike? Any thoughts? It's cheap....

It's a Sakae CR, one of my favourite cranksets!

Oh yeah, as to the rest of the bike, I like it. I'm a fan of Merciers in general. Will it fit you though? That is one little bike. Look at the head-tube!

I know it is listed as a size "large"... To me it looks to be smaller than 52. I thought I might do it up for my Grandson.

Oh yeah here's a picture of the crankset. Size looks more like a 49/50cm to me.

I concur. In 1972 one of my double century training partners had a beautiful Mercier 300(??), which was essentially a Peugeot PX-10 equivalent. I have seen very few others in southern California -- countless Peugeots and a fair number of Motobecanes, Gitanes, Bertins, and Lejeunes, though.

+1, Sekai did one too, so it was likely a replacement done by a past owner..
