Raleigh Technium help- info on year and components?
1 Attachment(s)
I just picked up a very small Raleigh that I plan to tear down and rehab for a niece or just sell, depending on if she likes it.
Its a Technium 440 with Suntour Accushift a3040 shifters and derailleurs. The code is r833060206, which according to Sheldon, means it was made on the 330th day in late 86 so its probably an 87. The a3040 components came out in 88 though, correct? So I either have the date wrong or that isnt the original shift group. Would anyone know the year based on the single bad quality pic and description? googling 86 87 and 88 Technium hasnt helped much so far. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=437369 |

Thanks, I am guessing it is an 87 that was made at the end of 86 and the derailleurs were just updated to indexed a few years later. I haven't been able to find full Raleigh road catalogs for 86 and 87 online, odd. I would have figured they would be common(or at least around at all), given Raleigh's size at the time.
