Pinarello Treviso decals - which one to buy?

Hey guys, I'm working on a Treviso and trying to decide which decals to purchase.

I found this seller on ebay and I'm wondering if anybody here had any experience with these decals:
Pinarello Treviso Frame Decal SET Black | eBay

Mainly looking for feedback: Are the letters the exact size, ease of application, durability and quality.

Other option is velocals. The ones for "finished frame" are a bit pricey. Has anyone tried the cheaper option and did spot clear coating?

Finally, any advice on decal application? Are the Pinarello letters on these sets in one backing strip?

Thanks! Any input is appreciated.

Have you identified the frame based on Bulgier cats? Do you have an idea of the year?

Nice looking bike. Finish it!

When I got the frame, there were still traces of the original decals for me to ID it. As for year, maybe around 85.

Found it like this, with Mavic SSC on it.

The only reason I asked is that Treviso is the name of the town Pinarello built the bike in. Often people mistake the model of the frame because Treviso is always prominently displayed with the decals regardless of model and models often don't have their name on the bike. this is a Montello:

Montello is not anywhere on the frame. This picture shows the ghost of the decals that were there. They are not so I have the same questions.

Right, the model name is usually the one on the TT near the HT. You can make it out from the first pic in Post#3. Paint and decals are original so I'm pretty sure mine is what the decal says on the TT.

Nice Montello! I wouldn't mind owning one in Red or Black.

Pinarello model names and hierarchy are mess and hard to identifying, i often find.
one year IIRC, they introduced Pista Amatore with a record blue Montello Pista photo in their catalogue.
Signor P had drunken too much wine i guess.

btw, love the color of the frame. pearl yellow!!!

Not sure if it's a Treviso NR as it came with a Mavic group. I think it was bought as a frame but that doesn't really matter. It's a Pinarello with SL tubes and that's good enough for me. I took out the Mavic stuff and replaced with Record 9 group and I plan to ride it hard and often.

I do like the pearl paint. I couldn't find another like it aside from the Prestige S model on the 81 catalog. It's not uniform throughout the whole frame though, which is kinda weird and applied after the decals.

Hopefully someone with more experience will verify or dispute but I believe around the mid 80's if there is a bridge behind the BB on the chain stays it is a lower model (Treviso?) and if none a Montello.
I have gotten good quality from Velocals and Cyclemondo (Australian but fast service). I think spot clear coating can be done well if one knows what they are doing, but a rattle can and masking tape will look like rattle can/masking tape.

The paint is a top coat as seen on mine. mine is in poor shape but I can't get past the "its only original once" mindset. Only the Pin decals are fallen off, the others have faired well.

Oh and thanks for the comment. I have jumped on two Pins when they were on CL. Neither had even good finish on the frame but ... they are Pinarello's! The other one is a Tre Cime, AFAIK. It was a frank'n bike of parts, some top of the line some not near.
