Help identifying this frame

Hey all,

I am brand new to the forum but love vintage bikes. Recently I have bought a Peugeot Pro Team road bike, I think from 1988 and also a frame that has been repainted to a lovely brown colour but I have no idea what the brand of the frame is.

I have attached some photos, can anyone help me? It has distinctive circles attached together which are on the sloped tube at the top and the bottom.

What size is the bottom bracket threading and the seat post?

Judging from the stamped dropouts, brazed on rack mount and the afore mentioned clamp stops rather than brazed on shifter bosses and guides I would say it is a very low end frame regardless of the brand.

We need:
1. BB shell width (probably 68 or 70mm)
2. BB shell threading (35x1 RH, 35x1 LH, 36x24 RH, 1.375x24 LH)
3. seat tube OD (28.0 or 28.6mm)
4. seat tube ID (25 to 27.4mm)

The bridge across the seat stays looks like a Pletscher mousetrap rack mount, something one would see on a low-end frame or perhaps a touring bike.

Those circles are stops for the cable guides that were clamped to the frame.

The head lugs are different, but the seat cluster, bottom bracket, double-circle brazeons and the droputs are identical to my 1980ish Apollo Prestige. High-ten tubed, lower range ten speed made by Kuwahara for the Canadian market. Yeah, my Velo Cheapo entry I've posted here a million times.

Hey all, I will do the measurements tonight and get back to you. It came with 27 inch wheels aswell, but I only paid 50 Australian dollars for it which is not bad I think.

I have asked you a million times not to exaggerate about the number of times you have posted that bike. :)

That brown frame, featuring stamped rather than forged drops, set is entry level, in my opinion, hardly the making of a professional bicycle. That said, some manufacturers did use such descriptive words for marketing purposes only, not as a description of actual quality.
