I'm far from a Merckx expert but I don't recall ever seeing those concave seat stays on a Merckx either.

Likely a Colner Merckx, or other licensed model. Not made in Merckx factory.

It might be worth looking into. I can't make out the head badge on my phone. But, it's full campy, decent whatever frame. It didn't sell at $399 and its resisted.
