I think you're mixing fantasy fiction metaphors there.

I'll cross that bridgestone when I get to it.

And a "plastic saddle", for shame!! ;)

Honestly looks a lot like my X0 wanna-be. Love it.

Lascauxcaveman 03-25-15 02:56 PM

I don't think we'll ever really know how tall that dude is.

I've found it interesting how Grant's discussions of how marketing has affected bike design has been a vehicle for his own marketing messages.

Which has had me thinking more than once how marketing and "economic" considerations affect all kinds of decision-making in seemingly irrational ways.

It's a strange world, and Grant fits right in...
...as must we all.

seedsbelize 03-25-15 03:12 PM

Ultimately Grant sent me here. shopping around, and really liked his stuff, but the prices!!@ Started looking for the poor man's rivendell, and stumbled across c and v

noglider 03-25-15 03:13 PM

I find it hard to be cynical about Grant's marketing messages, since I don't believe they have made him wealthy. He's going against the tide, and he's not winning. He might do better to mouth off the typical "laterally stiff and vertically compliant" BS. I think he sincerely believes the stuff he writes, and he lives by his words, as far as I can tell.

I prefer "firm yet supple".
