We're probably not GMR'ing this weekend. My wife doesn't think she's up to it and my son, bless his heart, thinks his gearing is wrong (he might be right)... he's got an old 7 speed triple on his bike. Anyway, we might ride down to seal beach for lunch and come back. My daughter has a heavy nap schedule planned for Saturday.

Nothing's concrete yet though.

I haven't had much time to ride lately only 3 rides this month so far, but have over 7500'. The wife has me going to 2-3 bbq's on the 4th, but since I have the 3rd off I was thinking about trying to make it to the village.

Good to know...I think I will ride with my team in OC on the 4th tho I'm still on fence as the idea of riding w/o cars is appealing having experienced that once (9/1/12)

You better pre-work off some of those BBQs!

Check here for updates on GMR: Glendora Mountain Road - GMR.BIKE It still has some closure notices from november, so interpret with care. If you do go, I'd suggest an EARLY departure, it gets hotter than heck up there in July. I rode up to the shack last year in the late afternoon... my lying garmin said it was 115.

thanks for the link.. Do they every close it on the 3rd or just the 4th? I was planning on getting on the rode around 6 to hopefully start my ride at 7 and be done by 10. Looks like the high is 86 so hopefully I'll be done before it even gets to 80.

I'm not sure - check the link on Wednesday or Thursday. I could see them closing it on the third, since most of us will get that day off too.
