Bib shorts for tall guy with large legs and flat stomach

I'm looking for recommendations on bib shorts for a tall guy (6' 5" with 36" jean inseam) with large diameter thighs and a flat stomach (35" waist, 255 lbs but looking to go to 245 lbs). I hadn't tried bibs before but bought some bib tights (Nashbar Mansfield 2 Chamois Bib Tights in a large-tall size, 35"-37" waist) that I wore this spring and they were very comfortable. I thought I'd try a pair of similar Nashbar bib shorts but they were very tight around the thighs, the bibs were too short and the chamois was different. The tights had a chamois that was slicker and didn't seem to absorb the Chamois Butt'r like the shorts. I don't care about the leg length, in fact I'd prefer it be a little shorter so my thighs got some sun but I'll take what I can get as long as they fit and have a good chamois. This is for road biking. Was looking at the Aero Tech tall mens padded bib shorts or Elite Endurance bib shorts. Their size chart would indicate a large-tall but I saw a customer review from a 6'4" 200 lb guy with 35" waist that said the large was a bit tight on him but the XL was too loose.

Also looking for a bike jersey that will ft around large arms/shoulders/back but not be a tent around the middle.

Thanks,
Dan Jones

I have two pair of the Aerotech tall man bibs. I couldn't be any happier. They run quite true to sizing chart in my experience.

I'm 6'4" and 220 pounds with 26" upper legs. I typically wear 36-38 waist pants. The XL-Tall ones fit me fine.

If you have the money the Assos outlet has their Mille bibs for $150. Best bibs on the planet.

Another +1 for Aero Tech, their size chart is accurate as far as I can tell, 6'4", 220, 35/36 waist and the large tall fits great.

I have XL DeMarchi, Castelli, and Bellwether. Castelli is very snug but not impossible to ride in. I'm 6'5" 220.

Thanks guys. I ordered large-tall bib shorts and a coolmax jersey from Aero Tech. If they are too tight, I'll try the next size up. I like the Assos color options but wasn't sure on the fit.
