You crack me up

I fell in love with smithwick zero socks a few year ago and thats all I wear now. They hardly come out of my shoes...I even wear them in the dead of winter here. And I wear gloves anytime I am on the bike, tan lines be damned lol.

i haven't tried those one, I rotate few diff brands of running socks, almost same material and thickness as cycling socks but without the extra length. Cost is a hair bit cheaper as well

Vics bike thoughts

I use Swiftwick socks fairly exclusively. I prefer either 2 or 4's. The 4's are compression from what I understand but I mostly like the colors.

These are what I use as cycling socks (UA Performance Crew)

I found a 3-Pack, with High-Vis Yellow, Hyper Green, and High-Vis Orange, for about $10 at TJ Maxx.

This is what I understand the MUP to be. Picture credits where I could find them. This is not a safety post. This is a what is a MUP. I did not know what a MUP was. Acronyms are lost on those who do not know what they are. If you disagree with this picture please note below.

Where I am, a MUP (multi-use path) is usually a rail-trail, or a greenway trail, that is closed to motor vehicles of any type, and open to all unpowered modes of transport, including bicycles, skateboards, walking, and skating. Some are even groomed in the winter for cross country skiing and snowshoeing.

Does it have to be a Jersey? Or can it just be a wicking shirt? If I recall correctly, the green on your bike very closely matches UA's Hyper Green, so a UA wicking shirt could work.

And i've seen MUT / MUP (Multi-Use Trail/Path) used pretty interchangeably.

It's normally at Trail/Path that is used by Pedestrians and Cyclists, where motorized vehicles are prohibited.

from my experience and 2 cents worth:

in the beginning, dont eat too little .... cycle moderately/hard for max of 4-5 days straight, and have 2 days off

as you get fitter, you will loose more weight and get faster, and go further ... dont starve yourself, as you wont have energy to cycle

if you loose more that half a kg a week (1 pound a week), you are doing something drastically wrong

And what a good graphic it is but I didn't ask who made the graphic.

If you click on the link you'll see it's a Google search for "what is a MUP", not "who made the graphic".

Wow. Let me just say I am blown away by MyFitnessPal. I read a lot here in BF many have used it. It sounded good but even though I am tech savvy I dreaded having to learn yet another app. The second reason being I hate counting calories. Not because I cant, but because im lazy. Kinda goes hand in hand with why im fat. I decided to check it out today. I took the time to learn the interface and add the food i ate today. It practically does the thinking for you. The only thing I do need to do is weigh absolutely everything. But once your dialed in, it looks kinda fun. Sounds cheesy but im glad I found MyFitnessPal today LOL

Enjoying My Fitness Pal app but there is one huge drawback. When not hitting a calorie goal this message comes up and your not able to complete that day's entry. Any help or suggestions from those on this board with experience please reply.

Measure or weigh everything, including condiments. If you are still not hitting your min then eat more.

Improvised today. Not ready to invest in new shoes.
Worked awesome. Not perfect but definitely an improvement.
