We had a couple inches of snow this morning and it is still snowing. I need truck drivers that have the KSA to drive in this stuff and get some work done. quarter century ago we just got it done.

Jeff, i have doubts about my fitness for that ride.

Long story short for some of the folks here I use to know Last couple of years have been very difficult to say the least at work. It caused me to lose focus on everything actually and especially my riding and fitness. As I am well known for hating whiners, I just kind of dropped off the boards instead of going through ups and downs online.

On the positive side, I think I have all the work stuff behind me and am once again tired of being fat and tired, so I drug my ass back onto my trainer and am doing walks with my new dog. My FTP is less than half what it was two years ago, and that's hard to take, and of course I gained all the weight back, so I have a very long road to lose all that weight again.

But I am a pretty dedicated person when I set my mind to something and am sticking with this, and starting to have a bit of fun.

Riding zwift mostly as I have more fun on that than trainer road. had a bunch of tech issues with it, but think just last night I got them all worked out.

Would love to get back to riding centuries with some of you this coming year, but think I will be may or june before a century, and maybe metrics in march.

And IBO....boxed wine r good!

@vesteroid - I'm no Lance. I plan on doing the ride, but I'm pretty slow. If you change your mind, I'd enjoy having a riding partner. I assure you I won't break any records!

joe, let me get through january. If I can get my ftp back over 200 and can do 4 straight hours on the bike without dying I may try the century. Its not much climbing.

we'll we're glad you are back, and hope you stick around. Centuries in the summer sounds like a solid plan to me. I haven't done one in like 6 months but did enough in the first half of the year to make up for my laziness.

Confession time. Figured out that I just can't squeeze onto the 58cm properly (short stem, low seat post, 170mm cranks--still felt wrong), so I, uh, sorta traded the beautiful SRAM Red-Equipped Evo for a slightly older, but better fitting, System Six in a size 56 (and 11-Speed Record equipped). Great thing is it already has a compact crank, and an 11-28 rear cassette. Maybe now I'll get motivated to ride... :/

It's not in my hands yet, but should be here in time for my Birthday (12/19)...

dope looking bike, record on cdale is hot

You can't fix fit issues. I'm still in debate on trading my MTB for a taller frame BMC, I mean I can fit it, it will just not be as aggressive fitting as I'm currently on.

Glad to have you back son. Invite is still open that if you are ever out this way stop on over, we'll ride some (between 55' and 150' per mile; whatever you like) then help me drain a few mason jars for some good times.

Bike riding is about suffering. It sounds like you are PRIMED to do a century! Plus, PS is mostly flat as a pancake. You can do it! (waterboy voice). Have Mrs. Vest install "bicycle bungee" on her bike and tow you right along. She strikes me as one of those people who can stop exercising / riding for a year or two and just hop back on the bike for a pleasant spin and still thump the rest of us soundly.

I didn't get a call arranging for delivery of that 58cm Evo, ya jerque. You know that's my size!

you are doing PS? Nice! I was thinking of it but my riding has been pretty much zilch lately but my friend Taryn who did Pizza Port last April wants to do it and I can't keep up with her. Doubt I could keep up with you either but would be cool to see you and gang!
