Whats on your New Years Resolution list?
I am already going strong by continuing my quest to ride the trainer until Spring and learn how to eat only foods my body needs, but my resolution is to bike more during the week. Each day if i can.

To stop wasting so much time on BF. It's going to be tough, but I know I have it in me.

Gain 20lbs. Tried cutting back on weight lifting to lose weight and I hate how I look and feel. Being a little faster on my bike isn't worth it I decided.

If this were a photography forum, I would say "poor". (At the stroke of midnight on one of the longest nights of the year, I would need Tri-X film pushed to the max. Very grainy, very poor resolution. Ha ha.
But this is a bike forum. I don't do resolutions, but my goal is to keep riding, accept that I probably need to accept that I need to back off on huge fix gear climbing aspirations in light of my partially torn Achilles heels. And on a positive note, build up and ride the Raleigh Competition that is coming back from the painter in a few days. (A bike that fits really fat tires, fenders and has all sorts of low gears. If it is sorta a road of any age or condition, that bike loves it. Pavement not remotely required. Except for the gears, this bike feels like a throwback of say 60-70 years.
And on the diet note, I will attempt to practice eating really good, healthy foods, stopping before I am full. (I am currently at my max acceptable weight. 5 pounds less for the cold months would be better and 10 less next spring/summer would be excellent. 15 less, my old racing weight - nah, I don't need to do that again.)

I don't really "do" resolutions either. I'm one of those grumpy people who says you either need to do it or not do it; if you need some arbitrary day to start it you probably aren't serious enough.
BUT, I guess the usual stuff. I say that, but honestly I do what everyone does and use Jan 1 as a good "jumping off" point to get resituated. Ride more, ride further, ride faster. I'd like to do a group ride for the first time this year. We shall see! Wish me luck.

Same goals I failed at accomplishing in 2015: 3,000 miles (at minimum), and my first imperial century. Signed up for my first charity ride at the end of April

I started Trainer Road. My plan is to ride my Wahoo Kickr and complete the Traditional Base in the next 12 weeks and continue with a structured training plan throughout the year. I plan to do a few organized Century Rides this summer and may try to get involved riding with some local riders try to ride as often as I can. ..oh yeah and I want to get a fat bike and ride with that group.

Train for and finish this year's version of the Belgian Waffle Race. I hope it's harder than last year

Ride 10,000 miles..
Do weekly supra-threshold intervals and threshold rides once past a few easy months to finish recovering.
2014 I got less fat and slow, dropping 60 pounds covering 5266 miles.
2015 I got fast, lean, and serious. 20 miles in an hour, 3.6W/kg threshold, and 2 pounds/inch. 7613 miles because a broken collarbone got in the way.
2016 should go well .

Ride slower. I've done a lot of riding this year above 90% max HR, lots of intervals, but that doesn't burn fat. I need to spend a lot more time riding in the fat burning range. I think I would be a lot happier rider if there were 30 pounds less of me on the bike.

I'd like to get to that, but I doubt it'll happen in '16...unless I drop some weight. I've been holding at 3w/kg, but will probably move it up to 3.1w/kg threshold soon.
I should probably try to set a goal of taking the Strava KOM for 200+lbs riders on the longest climb in town. Looks do-able.

I'm planning on riding over 2000 miles. I did over 800 miles this year and want to do many more this year. I also have already started working on losing another 100 lbs to get myself down to my ideal weight.
But I have many trail rides on my bucket list to do this coming year. I'm looking forward to each one.
This isn't a new years resolution as much as actually doing. Resolutions are too easily and often broken.

I plan on doubling my inaugural year mileage, which started in May. I just reached over 1,200 miles for the year. Next year goal is 2,400. It's actually more likely that I'll triple my inaugural year mileage though.
In terms of weight, my goal is to get down to 200 - 210 lbs by next year's end. It's a good weight for me.
Also, I plan on joining group rides, eventually faster group rides. I want to do at least one crit, which I'm tailoring my training around (30 min - 60 min HIIT, sprints, etc.), and the local Tour de Scottsdale 30 mile ride next October. Both those rides will determine which direction I want to plant my focus, whether more crits, longer distance races, both, or neither.
Sprint-wise, I'd be super happy if I can top 35mph by year's end next year. My current PR is 30.6 mph.
If I end up taking cycling more serious, then a power meter is in order.

No resolutions for me either and I made a resolution about 10 years ago to never make them again, I have done well in keeping that resolution.
My wife, on the other hand, has decided that the new year will bring a new cleansing month of no beer or booze and fruit/veggie shakes in place of 2 meals a day to kick off some weight loss. It's always easier to do those things as a couple so I am in full support of her and will be doing the same. Now just need to think about and plan out some sensible snacks and real food meals. Perhaps it will be a month of Asian inspired meals. I do have a new outdoor wok I need to break in!
As far as the shakes go, they will be real fruits, veggies and unflavored pea protein. No artificial anything in them and I classify stevia as artificial since it is so chemically processed, the plant itself is not approved by the FDA!!!

2016 Goals
Ride 3,000 miles -- I've fallen short (in the 2,000s mile range) the past few years. Complete the One Day Ride Across Michigan ( ODRAM ). Do weight training this winter to be ready for Spring.

Goal is to do a couple of endurance gravel grinder or mountain bike races either solo or part of a team effort.
Also to keep on training and racing at the same intensity in 2016. Kicking off 2016 right with a race this weekend.

My resolution is to win the Cycle To The Sun Race on Maui in June. I'm 205-210 all the time and something like 12-14%BF so my plan is to just shred the maximum amount of weight I can and still ride at the same watts over a given period of time. If I was 170 pounds today that would have put me at 4.22W/kg for 1hr 20min climb. Maybe those numbers would never win, but it's the only race I am worried about this year.
13 hours til 2016 here in Hawai'i!

New years this year just happens to be timed with my lifestyle change. So I guess I'll just try to set a realistic biking goal of 2000 miles.
Oh yeah. Also to be credit card debt free. This might also be realistic this year.....if I can stay out of local bike shops.

My main goal for 2016 is to get my weight down to 180 lbs. My other goals are to do my first metric century, either on the road or on Zwift. Don't care which way I get it, just want to get that done. And my mileage goal for the year is going to be 10,000 miles.
