How to tell that you're a TRUE Clydesdale:

When you walk out to the bike, and you hear it whimpering.

When you look back and see your tire tracks imprinted in the pavement.

When the front of your jersey is worn where the handlebar stem has been rubbing.

When the suspension bottoms out while you're riding, but is jammed at full limit when you're off the bike.

When your shadow touches both of the edge stripes of the bike lane.

When you come down the street wearing a yellow jersey, and kids shout "The school bus is here!"

When you have to go through the gate to the bike trail, then pull the bike after you.

When barking dogs come down the driveway, then skid to a stop and run the other way.

When you notice that the rims have opened up enough to take the next tire width.

When someone asks "How do you get your spokes to flex like that when you ride?"

When you overtake someone, they look back and say, "I thought I heard a train coming with a steam engine!"

When you mention that you like to bike to someone they ask, "You got a Harley?"

When you pass everyone on the down hill due to gravity assist
When you are still pedaling strong after 4 hours because you have big, strong legs.

When cars draft behind you going 9MPH.

When you walk into your LBS and the guy says. The Sub shop is nextdoor.

When you pass skinny riders going up a hill and you hear them nearly having an aneurysm trying in vain to keep a Clyde from dropping them on a climb

True that. When I did my first organized gravel ride, I wondered while the other riders were pedaling DOWN the hill.

When I first started riding with a group on randonneuring rides, they did that. Specifically, Dan would jump in front, get on the aerobars, everyone else tucks in, and if you get out of the draft, you couldn't catch 'em. Which was backwards for me, as I was a work-hard-going-up/recover-while-coasting-down type of guy.
