16 weeks - all size 38" pants are back in the rotation

So at 16 weeks all my size 38" pants are back in the daily wear rotation, even the ones cut smaller that were definitely a no-go 7 weeks ago (though they're still a bit more snug than I'd like).

I've not really lost any more "weight", per-se, so I can only assume that I'm converting to lean muscle. In fact my weight hasn't changed an iota in 7 weeks and actually appeared to go back up significantly a few weeks ago.

The big challenge now will be getting to a size 36" pants over the next 12 weeks - we've a black-tie wedding to attend and I had to order a new tux. Being as the pants to a 42S jacket are a size 36" and a size 44S jacket (with size 38" pants) would just swallow me and/or be a devil to tailor, the 42S was an obvious choice. It's going to be a challenge and I may have to crash diet the last 4-weeks or so, but I think it's doable.

BTW, if you're in the market, Macy's online has a Ralph Lauren tux on sale for $150 with the coupon code FRESH.

Man, you just made my day!!! I have been unemployed for so long I have not worn anything except basketball shorts all summer, so I had not tried any jeans/slacks on. I have been bummed because my weight loss has been so slow. So I just went into my closet and tried on the Dockers I wore the last day I worked which were 56's. I SWAM in them! Then I went into my storage tupperware thingy I keep my clothes that are too small for me. I fit into EVERYTHING! The smallest jeans/slacks I could find were 44s and they were even a bit too big. Even my Duluth trading company underwear 2xl that I have not worn since I was down to close to 300 fit perfectly. No wonder everybody keeps asking me how much weight I have lost, I just didn't see the change until I tried on those clothes.

This really makes all the riding worthwhile!!

Good for you. The very best thing about my 2 years of unemployment/underemployment was having extra time to do what I wanted rather than being (for the most part) on somebody else's schedule. I would do my treadmill thing in the morning, like always, swim with my wife for 30 minutes in the early afternoon, and then we'd have a late afternoon dinner. I was losing weight like crazy. The very worst thing was, of course, a lack of steady income.

Then I finally found a full-time job last November and put on about 20lbs over the Holiday season.

I have the widest/nicest selection of pants in size 34", so that's my ultimate goal. And when I get there this time, I'm really going to do my utmost to stay there. Which means my current regimen, including the lunchtime bike ride, is going to be a long-term deal.

Congrats. When I was at my biggest, I was in tight 42's on my way to 44's. I lost 50 pounds and can wear 38's again. Wife took me clothes shopping recently for shorts, getting them on sale since it's near the end of the season, and some 38's fit OK while others fit better in 40's. I think it's just the way they were made, because I'm still at my lowest weight I've been in years. But it's funny how if I don't wear a belt my 42 inch shorts basically just fall off my butt.
