I'd assume they will ...

Cripes ... windy out there today, but I was out in short sleeves and shorts, so no real complaints here

Just about a perfect day out there ... mid 60s, a wisp of a breeze, lots of sun ... wished I could have rode forever.

I'm kind of freaked out tonight. Just found out a friend from high school days just had quadruple bypass surgery.

Hoping to get back on the bike tomorrow... Three weeks of a sinus infection that has resisted antibiotics has taken the ride out of me... today feeling like a maybe.

Quadruple? Yowza. I'll bet he doesn't ride like you, though!

Those are the same shoes you mocked me for rocking on our very first GMR ride. Yes, they have laces. Go take a look now. Laces are all the rage. My 20 year old Diadore's weren't outdated. They were just a few years ahead of their time!

Can't tell, legs are blurry from moving too fast.

Bring them to another ride and you'll get a fresh round of derision. @tunavic has the fancy lace-ups. What you have should be thrown over a power line somewhere out in the desert.

Yah, he's got lace-ups, but I won't even pretend to be cool enough to rock the colors he does! I thought buying white shoes was radical enough! He's so street that he can pull off the neon orange and high-polish gold! Maybe someday.

I just saw an article on someone else getting busted for an in-frame motor. I have to admit, if I had the money, I'd be ok having one of those for a while. I wouldn't even hide it. Maybe an electric hub is for me. Although, with my luck, I'd get off the bike for some reason on the hill and the dang thing would short out and carry my bike right off the edge of the mountain, then power it, off-road downhill style, all the way to the bottom.

Getting ready to ride to the edge of the city for some stealth camping and late night meteor shower watching. The Orionids are peaking this weekend. Best time is around 2 a.m.

Had a most excellent ride today, Orange County Wheelmen's fall metric in some of the local mountains. 60 miles and about 4,400 feet. An absolutely perfect day for riding. And our own@DrIsotope came out and joined us too since we were riding in his neighborhood! Got to see his new Cervelo R3, very nice bike. Unfortunately it makes him just that much faster than me!

I moved to SoCal in 93 and of course in short order some of the guys from work took me golfing (first time ever on golf course).

I had trouble even hitting the ball when using the driver and one shot almost sent a duck in a pond to meet his maker. I didn't know it at the time but I should have immediately gone to an LBS and bought a bike because the following couple of years of golfing I showed virtually no improvement and now I owned a bunch of expensive sticks with metal wedges at the bottom

Fall has definitely arrived ... cold, windy, rainy ... no ride today ... not ready to put the bike on the trainer yet, and want to hit my mileage goal for the year, but the weather won't make it easy.

We got 3-4 days of "hey, maybe the weather is changing," then apparently someone remembered Halloween is right around the corner and cranked the heat back up. It was 102º yesterday, and Sunday is the first day forecast to be below 90º. I rode at 6pm last night, after it had dropped to a balmy 96º. The weather report looks something like this:

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 2 PM PDT Wednesday...

* high temperatures... 90s near the beaches and for the far inland valleys... and 100 to 108 elsewhere for coastal areas into the western valleys.
* Winds... .areas of northeast winds 25 to 35mph with gusts to 55mph. Isolated gusts to 65 mph. Winds will not be quite as strong nor widespread for tonight into Wednesday morning with areas of northeast to east winds 15 to 25mph with gusts to 45mph.

That's right folks-- +100º with 25-35mph winds. That's how we do autumn.

88 degrees with HOT gusty Santa Ana winds at 0600 here in the OC. Gotta be some kind of record "low" temp. Too windy to ride this morning.

Is it possible to repurpose those sticks as tubing for a bike frame? Now that would have some WHIP!

Maybe the wedges could be converted into super-sturdy platform mtb pedals

well if we're talking specifics ...

43 degrees currently ... rained all night so everything is damp
Winds are sustained at 17 mph with gusts to 22 mph (high winds advisory here all day)
Real feel (aka wind chill) - 33 degrees

It's a great day to catch pneumonia!

send some of that cold/moist over here, and we'll be glad to spare some of our 100+deg/0%humidity red flag wildfire conditions!

Are those Giro shoes? If so, I looked at them on line and think they are hot. Love the purple ones, but they would not go with the bike. I also heard they run a bit narrow.
