Litespeed M1 as first bike

Hey folks I posted this in the road forum but didn't get any responses. Since I'm over 200 pounds at 215 I thought I would post it here.

I'm new to cycling. I found a bike on consignment at my local bike shop that I'm interested in. Its a 2013 Litespeed M1, never wrecked, looks great and was checked out by the shop owner, who I trust, weighs in at 19.1 pounds. Price was $800 but I got the guy down to $700. Just thought I would sign up here to see what the consensus was on if that price is decent for the bike. I'm buying it for exercise right now, but I could see getting into racing one day. The shop owner told me that based on the frame size that it would fit me perfect, I'm planning to ride it tomorrow and purchase it as long as I don't get any red flags from this forum. Thanks for the help

Should be a solid $700 Bike if it fits you. Just cuz it’s a deal don’t be pressure to buy if you don’t fit it. If the frame size is right, new stems are $40-$100 for that fine fit. Good luck and post pics if you get it

Thanks for the reply, its a 56cm frame and I'm 5'11. The shop owner said that was correct. I'm going to go ride it tomorrow.

Shimano 105 and I'm not sure about the tires. I'm super green, rented a fat bike last week since I was thinking of buying one strictly for beach riding. Caught the bug immediately and now want a road bike, fat bike and regular mountain bike. I plan to get a Framed Minnesota fat bike with a extra set of 29ers to kill two of those birds with one stone.
