Soma Double Cross disc sizing
I am planning on building up the soma double cross for general fitness pavement riding and am wondering what size to get. Am 6'3" with a 34in cycling inseam (235lbs). Trying to decide between a 60 and 62cm.
anyone have the soma with similar dimensions , would love to hear some sizing comments

I am 6'1", just under 300lbs. I measured inseam myself, got approximately 34", this particular measurement may be inaccurate. I have a 58cm Double Cross Disc.
The question is whether you care about standover height. The product page https://www.somafab.com/archives/pro...ble-cross-disc states it is 33.6" for the 60cm frame with some 28mm tire. Mount a 42mm tire, and it goes over 34".
The fork comes with a 35cm long uncut steerer. Stack and reach are also listed there, adding 3cm of spacers decreases reach by approximately 1cm and increases stack by approximately 3cm.

I'm 6'4" with a 34" inseam and have a 60cm Double cross disc. Fits perfect and very comfortable to ride on nasty chip seal and rutted country roads. I have long ape arms and using a 110 mm stem and 175 cranks it is good to go. MIne has the straight blade forks, I think that was the only option at the time.
For more info for your build, it currently has 700x28 tires on Alex DA28 32 spoke wheels with BB7 front brake and BB5 rear. Originally had BB5 both, but I broke the front in a cross race. Had a full SRAM Rival setup, but as I started to break stuff cross racing a few years ago, I replaced things out of the parts bin. So now it has a Shimano LX RD and cheap Microshift shifters. After this cross season I may replace the drivetrain with the new 11 speed Microshift and use it for long distance rides.
Current build with a heavy Brooks saddle and heavy-ish wheels weighs in at 25 pounds.

Thanks scotton for the sizing and build info. That is a great help. Will order the 60cm and will be building this bike as a durable all around but mostly road bike . Will do some gravel and light touring and plan on durability over light weight so will build some some strong rims and a comfortable setup with bars at seat level . Probably mountain 2x11 gearing
