Carbo Loading LXVIII

Okay, It is now December... time for a new thread.

I purchased a Garmin 1030 Plus on Black Friday.... going to be fun to use (hopefully outside, but it is getting colder... I am good for anything over 45 degrees, under that and I get too cold and have to ride inside the house).

When I was in ID last month I did a late afternoon ride, starting temp was 35, it dipped to 32 and then finished at 33 according to my Garmin. I was more comfortable than I thought I would be, being a SoCal weather wimp and all. My face and ears were cold when riding upwind. I've added a couple of bits to my kit to address this.

I have a small house... 1600 square feet.

I ride using a turbo trainer and BKool or Zwift. BKool allows me to ride rides I have ridden outside in the house. My rides are imported from Strava to BKool.

a couple years ago my loving wife gave me some long bib tights with wind panels, I bought a skull cap with ear flaps to wear under my helmet, and this year I have purchased winter riding gloves. I may have to buy shoe covers and a face mask to ride outside as it hasn't gone above 39 degrees all week.

Merry Christmas to me, trade in 2013 EVO X for 2013 german V8 C63 AMG coupe. Rumor has it, this can fit one or 2 road bikes w/ seats down. And I will make it before ride start time TrojanHorse

I'd get in way too much trouble if I had one of those. And I hope you can do your own maintenance. :)

You wanna know another car that's great for bikes inside? (besides a civic)... A7. The day I got my bike down in Escondido there was a guy loading a bike into the back of his A7 and it just swallowed it up and looked cool doing it.

no way man, nothing looks cooler than a DIY roof rack on a 2005 Honda Odyssey

jk we don't have the odyssey anymore, we sold it at like 170K a few years ago.

It was not replaced with a sports coupe.

yaaa plan to do the maintenance for the most part, oil changes are 9.X quarts in the benz so I'd imagine the dealer mark up on that. But brakes should be easy like the EVO was. Brembo made, same 2 pin retaining system as the EVO brembo brakes had. Takes longer to jack up the car then swap pads out and bleed.

Woo Hoo... got a much needed ride in. Weather wasn't windy, and it was just above 50 degrees so I put my new jersey on, my long cycling bib tights and went for it.

Started by finding a wire in my tire when I went to air it up... thank goodness for tubeless tires.
