Going to push myself a little this month and shoot for 225 miles. Ian doesn't help and a family wedding out of town next weekend are gonna make it tough, but no excuses!

Been trying for 300 miles, but haven't hit that since May. I have some work travel this month, so I'll go with 250 miles.
10/1: 17.3
YTD: 2012.8
Feel pretty good about exceeding 2,000 miles for the first time ever.

Ouch!!
First time back on the bike since May. How can it be that long? DAMN!!
Between coughs, colds, injuries and bad weather it's been four months since I last rode.
Although we only got 2 frosts winter was colder than average here this year. It was also wetter and windier than usual. September is always our windiest month, but all of winter the winds were up making fat old man rides less enjoyable. Any low wind day I thought about riding I was either coughing or something hurt.
Anyway today I got back out there to start a new month. Things started well but I just I couldn't make my usual (pre winter) 30-ish kilometres route. Leg cramps, a recurring elbow injury from 25 years ago, a sore butt and the annoying damn cough all beat me up forcing me to call it quits early.
Oh well I've got some kilometres on the board for October, and even though we're getting another LaNina this summer hopefully the rain will hold off enough too get some road distance behind me.
MTD - 15.8 km
YTD - I've forgotten

Goal: 250 miles
10/1: 17.3
10/2: 17.9
MTD: 35.2
YTD: 2030.7
Got my fenders back on. I was really careful to maximize clearance. Still a bit tight in the back, but two rides now and no rubbing.
Getting chillier. Temps in the 40's a couple of times this past week, I had to wear pants and gloves for the first time in months.
High tide this evening, and a nice sunset over the marsh at the start of my ride.

I'm more annoyed with the coughs and aches that wont let me ride than the lesser distance.
I don't remember getting these ouchies when I was younger. I think I'm going to ask Santa for a new, younger, body this year!

Going for 250 miles this month. Hunting seasons are starting for me so that will have an impact on miles. Will be transitioning to mostly trainer miles.
