During yesterday’s ride I could feel almost immediately that my fitness has increased over the last month or so. Thought maybe it was just a really good day which is nice too, but today’s ride was a little stronger than normal as well despite strain this week being at a high point for the year. It’s really cool when you notice a change like that.

Today's ride was excellent. I feel like I finished stronger than last week's 100km ride and with more miles too!
I don't usually post my YTD mileage, but I'm over 1000mi for the year with this ride and it definitely shows.

We got quite a bit of rain last night. Going through the nature preserve there's a low spot that had a few inches of water flowing across pretty quickly. I'd probably have risked it to try for five exact mileage rides in a row, but there some nasty silty looking mud on either side of the water. I was bummed out but decided to turn around and finish with a slightly different route.

I'm actually quick surprised I had four rides in a row with the same mileage. It was the exact same route, but there's usually enough GPS error that it's off a .1 or .2 miles.

Dunno if I'll hit 100 this month, but we'll give it a shot. I'll be on vacation for a week and then have a bunch of house projects to do when I get back...

I'll try for 300 miles in June. Already late getting started between work travel and lots of rain lately. First ride in a week.
