Congratulations on the weight loss, and greetings fellow Amiga user! I'm 32 and have used them since I got a A500 for Christmas in 1991.

Good Morning,
I came to this site looking for an answer to alum. or carbon ? Found this page and became motivated to stay here. Great job folks. |
Down 90
This is me and my two sons in 2006. I’m probably 340 or so there. I hit 380 last year. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...fa58a4bbf.jpeg This is me today at 288. I’d like to be 230. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...b945367f0.jpeg |
Lost 55 so far
I bought a trek hybrid last August weighing in at 276. This morning I weighed 221 on 4/27/19. I ride 20 miles 4 times a week and 2 days I do a 6 mile single track through the woods. The single track is a killer on the 20 year old Wal-Mart bike. Looking at real mtb now and hope to buy one soon.

In 2016 we changed our way of eating to low card high fat. I would call it ketoish. In May of last year I bought a used Gary Fisher Mako from a friend when I hit 300. I now ride a DS 8.5

In 1990/91, I was about 220... 1986 KHS Fiero. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...de4bcf6ead.jpg 2016 or so... Pretty close to 360... Freshly upgraded 1986 KHS Fiero... https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...fffa646d78.jpg July 2019. 258. Yes, same 1986 KHS Fiero... https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...cd425cf7da.jpg I had gastric sleeve weight loss surgery in Oct 2018. Something needed to be done, as my health was declining. Now, no blood pressure meds, no diabetic risk, heart health is drastically improved, and I'm back on my bikes. 134 pounds from my heaviest, 112 since surgery. I'm 244 pounds. 4 pounds heavier than when I retired from the Navy 18 years ago... |
Not even my heaviest weight -vs- now. I’m down 160# from heaviest and 100# down maintaining goal weight 1 year post-surgery (gastric bypass). I’m enjoying the best times of my life.https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...48fdc78c3.jpeg
~287# super Athena https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...d78a214f1.jpeg Midpoint clowning around on a 43 miler. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...6bf870e6f.jpeg I’m the one in the green jersey. lol. |
Inspirational photos everyone - thank you for uploading.

Somewhere around 370, a couple years ago. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...75bf285f55.jpg 240, now. Still working on it, but the next few pounds are gonna be a little slower in dropping. |
That's awesome velojym! How did you do it? Bike only or bike and diet?

When I dropped below 300, I started riding a bit more, while continuing with my hikes and neighborhood walks (our hood is hilly, too). Now, I can ride all my bikes! Woo! Thanks for the props! |
