Voler bibs and the way they fit

Sorry for another "clyde shorts" post...

I'm 6'2" and currently 246. I have been wearing XXL Voler bibs and when riding they feel great. They are a little tight and stretched some. I am super comfortable in them though. Now that I have been riding to work, I was using baggie shorts for a while, but went back to the bibs to do an after work ride more comfortably...

My question is, how tight should they be and where should the pad end? I see pros with the pad way up high. On me the pad falls short of the frontal package and it is pretty obvious where the parts are underneath. I haven't tried a larger size bib because I think the length gets longer and I don't want them to be too big.

Anyone else seeing these issues? What size Voler bibs do you wear and how do they fit?
Should I try some of the big specific bibs mentioned lately?

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

My bibs are Sugoi, and they fit about like Voler, race cut! The fit you describe sounds about right.

Same thing happens with Assos bibs. If your worried about your 'bits' showing, do what the pros do and stuff your spare paper hankies down there.

Voler bibs and shorts fit me great, they're one of my favorite brands. They are snug, but they're meant to be that way to help support your body and muscles. I'm 6'4", 225# and take an XL. Haven't had a problem with John Henry and the boys showing through, maybe God was kinder to you when he handed out the "packages". LOL!
