Maybe Santa will send me a list of uber-uber-warm biking clothes in detail for Christmas so I can venture out of my basement before late Spring.
Wimp!

Just kidding of course. Actually, you'd be surprised how lightly you have to dress to winter cycle.

This is my foundation layer, all I add is a fleece quarter zip pullover, windproof shell, helmet, windproof pants, maybe a pair of legwarmers, wool socks, and perhaps heavier gloves and I'm good to -15ºF! Actually, if you dress too heavy, you freeze! The trick is just enough clothes that layer and manage moisture to avoid hypothermia and frostbite!

Self-admitted WIMP!

They grey area between chilly and hypothermia/frostbite keeps me in my basement. Perhaps after my initial 28 day program on the trainer (I'm on day 20), I'll try and sack up, bundle up, and head out on the road.

I actually have the UnderArmour Coldgear underlayer, I'd need Very warm gloves, I've heard people use multiple layers? I would also like to source some shoe covers. Can anyone make recomendations as to what and where to buy these on the internet? I've heard of arm and leg warmers but never seen them. I've yet to make it to the LBS but hope to get there tomorrow.

Went out last night, was low 40's starting off and got to high 30's. Shorts, t-shirt, and vest.

Only problem was stopping before heading home - that made me colder than anything!

Tom - I didn't know you were a ninja!

Looks like I might be a pound under. My original was 265 but then went up to 270 (prompting my rant), now down to 264ish...

OK! Here we go! It's about time to get those official weights for the Amazing Shrinking Clydes (and Athena's!). Get me the weights over the next couple of days and face the moment of truth......did you over do the Turkey?

I did have my cycling gloves on - I suppose that's cheating I just used that Performance coupon to order some arm warmers - the windproof aspect is very enticing!

Tom, I have made a sample Google Spreadsheet - The benefit would be that we could chose a few people to edit it, and then everyone else can view it easily - all with just a web browser.

https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?k...VkEtXbTIu2kscA

I could easily maintain it, or set Tom up to do it. I could also add all sorts of calculations, such as total weight loss for each clyde, total "team" loss per month, or any other number of things. If you'd rather not, it's no big deal. Either way, I'll post my weight thursday.

I put the db up here....if you have either excel or open office, you can access it. It isn't protected, no PW required as of yet. If I wind up with issues, I'll set a password and distribute it to everybody on the plan. I'll update it monthly and also maintain an archive copy here on my end.

One other thing, if there is ever an issue with BF crashing during dataset time, you can email me your data to gunsel2001@yahoo.com. PLace Clyde Data in the subject header. I'll get it that way as well!

You don't want to set up the spreadsheet like that! Think of a spreadsheet as a growing document - for the most part the data will be growing by month, not by Clyde. So the axis has to be reversed otherwise you'll have a mess on your hands. You also wouldn't want to put the change on the same spreadsheet unless it's integrated differently - data is too messy this way.
