Final 2006 update
I'm doing this in a separate thread because it's kind of special. Here are the results for Spinner Saturday. The Database for 2006 is officially closed and we will be starting a new round.

Our total miles as a group were 40,403.8 MILES, Great job, people!

So, without further ado, drum roll please Maestro......
Here are the charts and table!

I posted it in a separate thread, guess you missed it! Sorry!

Tom, I looked around but didn't see a definitive answer....

How does one contribute mileage? I've seen people add a reply to a thread, mention a PM they sent you, and I'm probably missing several others.

OK, here's how it works. We either post to the thread, or PM me, which actually helps me avoid missing it. The period is Sunday through Saturday, but I'll accept any other Seven day period if you are already using a different period. (51), for example ends his on Friday. Occasionally, I'll have to insert a day or shorten a week to keep it relatively regulated to stay within the given month as well as staying inside a given calender year.

I post the weekly reminder on Fridays on the active thread as well as publish the tables and graphs. Graph publication occurs on Mondays, so as long as you get me your weekly results as late as Sunday, I can have time to get them in.

I also run the program on my blogs as well, so if BF has a crash, you can view the items either at https://theamazingshrinkingman.blogspot.com or the MSN blog in my profile. I take it you'd like to join? If so, let me know and I'll happily add you to the database. It's free and open at all times!

By the way, I have an excel spreadsheet hosted at my Wiki if you want to use it to track your miles, also free. My Wiki is at https://cycling4bariatricpatients.wik...itle=Home&bc=1

Thanks Tom. One more question. Should I count miles spinning (i.e., on a stationary bicycle) or just those I rack up "on the road"?

Bike, Bike on a trainer stand, exercise bike, Tricycle, Big Wheel with an odometer.....if it pedals and counts miles, it counts!

Thanks!

BTW, I hope you don't mind, but I'll continue submitting my miles on Sunday because my log has been M-Su since day 1. But I'll remain consistant.

oh it was ugly for me this week. Weather was crappy and now I am sick. Not a very good first week, but all is not lost. I was only able to ride for 1 day in between rain drops for 13.1 miles.

By the way, I figured it up, if all 26 members average 40 miles a week all year, we'll top the 50K Goal easily!

Well, this is good - it'll help motivate me. I'm putting a cyclometer on the bike on my trainer today so I can start collecting those miles! Though I rode the trainer everyday last week I have no idea what the mileage is. I did do 30 miles outside yesterday on the B & A Trail...

Ouch! Is the rib actually cracked or did you strain the intercostal muscles.....feels exactly the same.

I should have thought to ask you, Tom.

I don't know. No X-Rays (I hate my doctor). Here's my post on it in another thread. At first I thought a severe contusion to the pectoralis...but, swelling has subsided, and I can now palpate the specific area. Hard to tell if inter-rib or rib hurts more. Plus, it hurts across at least 3 ribs, about 1-inch above the nipple-line to 6-inches above.

Never, ever had sore ribs from anything.
