Today's Chuckle

The newsgroup alt.support.diet is routinely trolled by both the death cult, AKA the "fat acceptance" folk, and fat bashers. Occasionally the trolling produces a chuckle. Take this item snipped from a troll-post this morning:

"Another stupid way for fat people to lose weight is riding a bike. Other than being a stupid way, its just plain dangerous! Once fat people reach a certain speed, they have so much kinetic energy... THAT THEY BECOME UNSTOPPABLE !!! Once on the move, there is no turning back! They have enough power to stop a moving train! "

That's me all over. Unstoppable.

So if we came together as a group could we take over the world?

I love it!

I remember someone telling me last year that I was being very "dangerous". They even had the cajones to suggest that I should "relax and eat something".

It was... amusing.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

I used to get those comments as well, but the people that have seen my progress over the last couple of years, even the worst commenters, are generally giving me props now!

No, but if we all try to accelerate in the same direction at the same time, we can stop the world!

That's pretty funny. I haven't been in newsgroups in years. Good to know they're still alive and kicking.

I quit reading alt. newsgroups years ago, when I reallised that alt. was an acronym for Absolutely Loaded with Trolls

Newsgroups used to be all there was. They were pretty cool right up until Al Gore popularized the use of the internets. Then it all went to hell.

Funny this got brought up. I was cruising around the neighborhood, and was thinking that I need to slow down because there's so much weight barreling down the road, and don't want to run into anyone/anything.

I do like the comment about relaxing and eating something though...that is truly funny.

True that... I know a guy that lost a crazy amount of weight. He's been kind of grumpy since then. Maybe what he needs is a juicy fatburger.

I'm up for all of us ruling the world through momentum. But seriously when I'm doing 30km/h I am packing a whopping 996kg of momentum!
