New road bike!

I have been trying to get my Mtb fixed for a while and I have some issues going on w/ that (another story). So I decided that buying a decent roadie was the best option for me. I finally purchase and old steel framed Specialized Allez. I drop a post in the classic bike forum to see if I can get any info on it. https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage/334807-specialized-allez-jim-metz-edition.html

I searched the web for bit and discovered that it was designed by Jim Mertz, a famous frame builder. It has Shimano 600 components and a adjustable rear dropout. It is an '89 Allez SE. Nice blue color. The previous owner stated that it had been ridden little. I will post pics when it arrives.

Dang I'm jelous!

The link only brought me to a new window that displayed what this window did but I will look forward to your pics.

I only have one ride, a real ark!

I'm looking forward to a road bike this spring, there are just so many, I haven't decided. The Trek's are more affordable but the Surly's are just so 'dreamy' for me...I really like the Cross-Check...

A separate savings account is in action now!

Great! That's a quality bike that you can enjoy for a long time! You'll like the ride of the steel frame too... Can't wait to see the pics!

I am still waiting for the bike The seller said he was having a problem getting to UPS due to his job. At least he is communicating w/ me. I cannot wait for it to arrive though... I'm getting anxious to ride! It is coming from Tampa and I am across the Gulf so it shouldn't take too long once it gets shipped. 3 days max, I hope!
