Yes, top tube length is OK, but the saddle is as high as it can go It makes a good dedicated trainer bike though. Stands a bit high in the trainer and the shorter frame allows clearance.

Oh! You have just reminded me that the competitive tractor guy down the road has most of his tractors out. Perhaps I shall ride over there and see if he's got them decorated yet?

Here's my '53 Schwinn. My build of this one isn't done yet. Some of the parts are just what I had lying around to get it ridable. Once I settle on a setup, I'll have the frame powdercoated and put it back together right. Should I keep the fork struts or not? So far it rides good, I did about 25 miles of singletrack last Friday and felt like I had been lifting weights. I may get the torch back out and shorten the chainstays an inch or so to make it more managable.

Closest thing I have to a classic ride is my old 1980-something Huffy beater that's currently in pieces in storage.

I just got back from my ride and he still doesn't have them decorated. A bit surprising, actually. Tomorrow I will get a photo of them anyway, just arranged on his lawn .

Here is my 1987 Serotta Colorado Steel

Here is how it looks as I ride it now. More comfortable being 20 years older than when I had it made.

I don't think I've seen a paint job quite like that one before--like a sunset! I have an orange Rodriguez (with 650b tyres) and I am SO disappointed that the orange tyres are no longer made in that size. I think your bike would look splendid with the orange tyres...

That Serotta may be the biggest bike I have ever seen (that wasn't two bikes welded together).

Hi, I'm 6'9' and wear a 38-40 pant length, 41-42 inseam. I think 51's new Mazama is bigger.
