I've always thought Luke summed up the Christmas story the best of anyone....

33 miles into my ride and I got pushed by a schmuck on her cell phone into a nasty area of the road wth lots of debris and I hit a small piece of metal that shredded my tire. My brand new Michelin Krylion with less than 150 miles on it. It's a total loss.

I know it been mentioned, but I always carry two dollar bills in my seat bag to line the inside of the tire with in just such a situation. It worked aloud me to get home and get 38 miles.

Oh no! At least you did not get hurt. We can't afford to have any more people on the DL list here.

Tomorrow will be a better day...

I think I may go riding this evening to look at lights with 3 of my kids (ages 13, 15, and 17)

Yea, I was thinking the same once I got home. No one hurt and bike is ok. $25 for a new tire is better than being hurt.
