New Fluid Trainer
I got my new bike this weekend and as it was 22 (the high) yesterday, I promptly went out a bought the Kinetic Road Machine Fluid Bike Trainer. I plan on giving it a shot tonight and see what I can see.
Anyone have any experience with one of these babies? I also teach spin at my local Gold's gym. I hope this'll help. |
Good luck with the new bike and the new trainer. I work out on rollers for indoors, as I got them cheap.

Well, your experience with spinning may help, but I find this the most boring exercise known to man. I have an area where I set up so I can see a tv and I use mostly spinerval DVD's. Sometimes I'll watch the Tour De France. I need something to keep me engaged in the work out. I also position a box fan to blow right on me. That makes things much more comfortable. Like I said, it's boring. But if you keep a regular schedule on the trainer, you'll be way better off come spring.

Yea, I have a trainer that is practically brand new.
Funny how you can enjoy riding outside but hate riding a trainer. I'd rather use my stair climber. |
The Kurt is a good unit, I have been using mine for about a month. It does get somewhat boring, but I find that if I focus on keeping my cadance up and change things up with intervals, it is more tolerable. The workout also seems harder than actual road riding.
