My wife is complaning about how she feel when she rides... however the LBS's only carry female cycling gear for women that are already fit. Where can she order her cycling gear from?

Durable, inexpensive and comfortable.

REI has a plus women's line. They used to have a great, reasonably priced skort, but I don't see it there this year anymore.

Anyway, they have a good selection, and you can try them on if you live near one.

Not bad , $40 for the plus size on the aerotech site....My wife has used some good shorts from Nike, can't find thme anymore. Some from PI, not too happy with them. But we found a pair of Terry at a not so local bike shop. Paid $80 but boy was she happy!

So happy we went back the next day to pick up another set. Was worth the 1 hour drive and another $80. She had some issues with other brands. Terry are nice and thick, no see thru issues, nice thick chamois and very comfy.

40 miles on other shorts was about the limit before she ahd to worry. With the Terry, she was still smiling after an 80 miler!:D

BTW, what saddle is she using? My wife rides the Specialized Lady's gel Dolce. Very nice and comfy for $50. Make sure she has a good saddle. I sat on the wife's bike the other day, thinking about geting one for myself!:D

I find it strange that many men dish out big bucks for their saddles but when it comes to the wife, they expect them to be happy on a stock seat!...Then they wonder why the wife complains about discomfort resulting in a lack of desire to ride. I've seen it with most of my friends. Geeze, what kind of friends do I have?:roflmao2:

My wife has a bike but all she does is complain. She hasn't touched the bike in ten years. I told her if she continues to ride the bike then I'll buy her a better saddle!:twitchy:.....You'll never hear this thoughtful sensitive sweet guy say this about my wife!:thumb:

Ouch! I rode a Trek 7100 for several years and couldn't stand the saddle. Saddles are a personal thing but it might be worth experimenting with different models.

Damn straight. I've used the chamois shorts for over a year and they are still in top shape!

I checked out that web site -- its a DBA for Schnaubelt Shorts. Schnaubelt Shorts has been making bike clothes since the 70s. I think they made the jerseys for my college team one year and now I have college age kids. I haven't used their stuff since but I had those college jerseys for a very long time. Eventually the moths got 'em or I might still have them.

I have used Performance shorts ever since Performance has been in business. Their shorts used to be a very good value but the last batch of Elite shorts I bought don't fit quite right and the Ultra ones didn't fit at all in the same size and the lower models were so cheaply made that I didn't even try them on. When this batch is worn out I'm going to try somewhere else and Aerotech seems like a good place to try.
