Ride #...Heck I dunno, We Rode With Fellow Clyde IamKar33M

Got a chance to meet IamKar on our home turf. Met near Anaheim Stadium for a lil trip together. Very pleasant guy and nice bike! I was actually shocked that he was a very steady rider. Nice line and nothing scary about his skills at all. Very nice since 90% of the riders we meet are on the shakey side, even the seasoned ones!

We did about 17 miles together. His longest had been 12 so he felt best to cut it at 17 when we rounded the section near the cars. He did seem to worry a bit on the way out as he was on familiar grounds. I told him not to worry, if we pace it right, he could do 40 no problem but no pressure. When he finished his ride I pointed out to him how well he had done. I even told him that he'd prolly go home, take a shower then say to himself," darn, I could have done 40 no problem".

AM I RIGHT, OR WHAT?

I got that exact feeling after I got home and showered... I was bouncing off the walls with energy and nowhere to output it to. I wanted to go out for another ride around the lake, however it was 2ish and probably the hottest part of the day.

It was awesome riding with Fred and Gina, great couple and incredibly accommodating. Hope to ride with you guys again soon, who knows maybe i'll try the whole 40.

P.S. look for a ride report on the 2009 Specialized Tricross Sport Triple coming soon to a forum near you.

TriXross in the Wild, Yo! That's how I feel when I get to work, after I get cooled down a bit and changed, prepared for the looks of admiration, shock, and awe at the whole 5 miles I ride in in the AM.....

Yep yep.

And before anyone mentions it, I was helmet-less because I had left it at my apartment 25 miles away in Pomona. I normally ride with a helmet, but for this ride I had to do without it because being a 'dee dee dee' I forgot to bring it with me. I had also forgot to bring my clipless shoes, so I had to suffer the whole 17 mile ride with flexy uncomfy running shoes.

On the helmet, I usually leave it on the handle bars at home, with gloves stuffed inside, then I can't forget it

Yeah, I do that too but I only picked up the Tricross on Friday (2 days ago). I brought it to my parents place where I am staying for the weekend. My helmet was 25 miles away in Pomona, I forgot to bring it because I didn't think I'd ride the Tricross this weekend.
