Clyde Handlebars?
I did a search and came up pretty much empty handed. I have wide shoulders and I'm thinking some wider handlebars might be in order for my road bike to help with comfort. Where do I measure the width of my shoulders? I just moved here and don't know anyone so being able to measure myself would be ideal. How would I determine a correct width of bars to purchase? Any recommendations?

I think somewhere, if you search, is a way to determine handlebar width. I have a 54 inch chest, not sure about shoulder to shoulder, but I have a 48cm handlebar from this place

Bikes: I never learned to ride a bike. It is my deepest shame.

The 'rule of thumb' for road handlebars, IIRC, is that the width of your shoulders (from 'pivot point' to 'piviot point') should be approximately equal to the width of the handlebars. Everyone is different, though, so use whatever width feels good.

Wider bars for comfort
You'll definitely discover a new world of 'no pinched shoulder blades' comfort with wider bars.
I went from 40cm to 44 cm on my vintage paramount and the pain disappeared.
Liked the 44s so much I traded up to 44s on the new CF Motobecane as well.
It'll take a bit o time to adjust (handling) to the wider bars.
