First 20 miler after surgery w/pics

Wow what a nice day! It looked pretty bleak when I got out of bed this morning but it was 60 degrees by the time I was all kitted up and ready to roll. All I needed to do was pick a direction, so I decided on a 25 mile out and back on my favorite roads. The first 8 miles out to I-90 are fairly busy but once I get to the access road along I almost never see a car. (3 today). 25 miles with a 14 mph avg. after stopping for some pics. Pretty worn out Surgery hasnt been good to me as made apparent by my new belly.. Tomorrow, I'll head east and see whats up.

Harvest must be over, I don't see any grain trucks on the road. Did that sign say 92 miles to Heaven

That road is in great shape and it does have huge shoulders! The road next to the freeway has nothing for shoulders but it doesn't need em with no cars around. And yes big D 92 to Spokealoo! I need to get out and drive to Ritzville and see what shape the access road is in, some parts are in great shape and some parts are graveled past the county line.

Congratulations on getting back out there. It took me 16 days to start getting significant mileage in after my gallbladder surgery. I was amazed that I did not lose any speed after a month off the bike.
