Kareem's custom build
Gone a different route for the frame... keep heading down, it's totally worth looking.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

I like where it's heading already.

I got a call from the LBS (Rock n' Road)... they gave me the opportunity of a lifetime. I returned the black/silver Tarmac SL2 frame and purchased this sweetheart:
Anyone want to venture to guess what's special about this little beauty?
Fred (Mr. Beanz) cannot answer since he already knows what it is.

If that's a Team frame set, I think I may hate you forever, in a loving envious kind of way
Are they letting you take out a 30 year mortgage on the new DA 7900 group?
I need to hang out at your place on trash days. I could live like a king on your discards, lol.
Seriously nice ride, dude. I can't wait for the finished build pics. I bow to your superior Shwagness.

Not only is it the team frame set... it's an exact replica of World Champion Paolo Bettini's S-Works Tarmac SL2. Specialized only produced 80 of them this year and one of them belongs to yours truly.
When he returns for Tour de California I'm going to see if I can have him sign this frame.
But for now it will be built up almost identical to his setup, with a few changes of course. I'm not a big Campagnolo fan so I will be running Shimano group parts, but otherwise I will try to use the same exact parts he uses in his bike.

That's gonna be a real nice bike someday.
What's with the Trek hatred? I'd think you'd be ticked off with Shimano if anything based on your Madone experience.

Hopefully that someday will be soon. As soon as I get my hands on an Ultegra SL kit.
I'm ticked off from Trek because it was a Trek DEALER which screwed me over, in essence souring my experience with Trek in general. If Trek does not hold ALL their dealers to a certain standard, why do they deserve my hard earned dollars?

Saddle came in, wheels installed. Dropped the bike off at Rock n' Road to have the drivetrain assembled.
Bike will be 100% complete by Friday August 29th.

Dude, Bontrager wheels on a S Works? That's just wrong!
So ya, when you switch, let me know, I can find a good home for them, lol.
It is looking too cool. It's gonna be smoking when you're done.
