Finally back on the bike/ Aero tech sizing oops

Finally back on the bike/ Aero tech sizing oops
Hello all
I used to follow this thread religiously until a rash of accidents beginning last August with a broken ankle, (although at first it was thought to be just a serious sprain). Followed up with a couple of wrist injuries, then I fell yet again and separated my right shoulder. Due to these injuries I have been more sedentary than a corpse. And my ever increasing waistline can provide the proof. I now believe that there is a direct correlation between daily activity and blood pressure. The less you move the higher your blood pressure. Last week I was finally given the OK by the doc's to get back on the bike! My sincere hope is that daily riding will not only drop some weight but also allow me to get off of the high blood pressure medication.
In anticipation of riding again I decided to buy myself some proper riding wear. Two years ago I had purchased a pair of 2XL shorts from Bike Nashbar which would supposedly fit a waist size of 42" - 44" NOT!!! They were so small I took to wearing a pair of Levi’s over them in an attempt not to flash the poor folks in cars approaching from the rear, (pun intended).
I vaguely remembered reading about a Clyde friendly company who produced shorts and jerseys. I did a search saw all the recommendations for Aero Tech went to their website and ordered a pair of shorts and a jersey. Since the last pair of shorts I ordered was far too small I thought I would order "up" one size. Since I also have a longish body, (my shirts need 36" sleeves) I ordered a "tall" sized jersey.
Warning to anyone else who orders from Aero Tech. The site claims that all items are "American" sized and boy they are not kidding.!!!!
I rushed home tonight after work anxious to try on my new set of bikewear. HOLY CRAP these things are HUGE! I will send Aero Tech an email later tonight to inquire about exchanging them for smaller sized apparel. Hopefully there will be no problem since I did not even put them on. So far I am quite impressed with Aero Tech. I ordered these on Tuesday night and they arrived today! You should see these bibshorts; they look they will last forever. The jersey clearly is my size just a tad long.
I would really like to wear these tomorrow but common sense tells me to wait until I talk with customer service. I have spent the last couple of nights cleaning and carefully adjusting anything and everything on my bike. Tomorrow morning it’s time to ride even if it is with Levi’s and a big ol’ cotton T.
